Can you set me straight on this crankshaft?
It came with a Corvette inventory buyout I purchased to sell on my eBay store. I've determined it's for a big block Chevy #6223,Crank A.JPGCrankshaft B.JPGCrankshaft C.JPGCrankshaft D.JPGCrankshaft E.JPG 396, 402, 427.
My question is about what appears to be filler on several spots. What is going on here and does this impact the use and value?

Sorry for the long delay, I don't geton the forum as often as I would like.
Answer is "NO", it will not affect the value. The "filler" you are speaking of is from the crank being full balanced. There is only two ways to balance a crank. (1) is to take away material, (2) is to ad it back for better balance.
